New Footage & Details In ‘Godzilla’s Production Featurette!

Posted on Apr 25 2014 - 9:46pm by Craig Hunter

Last week saw a number of featurettes released (here, here and here), which offered a little insight into Gareth Edwards’ forthcoming monster movie GODZILLA. These mainly consisted of the MONSTERS director in ‘talking head’ interviews discussing topics ranging from how he landed the Legendary Pictures gig, to the inspiration and tone of the picture.

Now the first real featurette has emerged, offering a real meaty look at the epic creature-feature coming together. It boasts snippets of new footage as well as details of the plot and design of the rampaging Lizard King. There is also a brand new image of the contaminated creature on the latest cover of Fangoria!

GODZILLA is set for release on May 15th and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, David Strathairn, Juliette Binoche and Sally Hawkins.

Wow. This is the first time I’ve heard Elizabeth Olsen’s voice since Full House. I don’t even have words for how surprised I am because I never thought about it. It’s nice and adult sounding but so different. Very calm and composed. Totally new person.

You’re an idiot. Elizabeth Olsen isn’t from Full House. That was Mary Kate and Ashley.

Take it down a notch man. I wasn’t ever aware that she even existed until I looked it up just now, and I’m sure lots of other people didn’t either. She doesn’t have any acting roles inbetween 1994 and 2011 on her wiki filmography. I could see the family resemblance though when I saw her in the movie clip. I was dead tired and on the late end of a long night on the computer when I wrote that comment, I sort of realized there was something else to the name but was too close to sleep to figure it out, I put up my comment and went to bed. Since you were the first person to comment 3 days after my post it fell into the week I was offline and unable to correct myself before because I was busy. Even if it had been Mary Kate or Ashley in the role, I’m pretty sure I would have had the same opinion on how their voice changed, which I’ve still yet to hear anywhere.
