Without a doubt one of the standout sequences in Fox’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST was Evan Peters’ last minute inclusion as mutant Quicksilver. With director Bryan Singer currently in pre-production of the 1980s-set sequel, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, fans of the franchise have been left wondering if Peters will return as Peter Maximoff as new casting of younger versions of mutants Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm have dominated.
Here’s what the rising you actor said when asked about his inclusion:
“I think so, yes, I assume it as well, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to say and not supposed to say but I haven’t seen a script.”
Screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg has previously hinted we’d be likely to see Evans back in the role alongside returnees James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne. Those newcomers include Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Shooting begins in Montreal in April with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE set for release on May 27, 2016.
