Stephen Amell Will Play Frank Miller Inspired Future ARROW For LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW has kicked off with a huge start with it’s first two episodes, but they’ve got so much more planned clearly with the introduction to Jonah Hex in an upcoming episode and the latest news will see an older Green Arrow in the year 2046.

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW sees a team of heroes travel through time trying to put a stop to Vandal Savage, an ancient villain who is set on ruling the world. Through their time journeys they’ll be heading to a variety of points including the 70’s, as we’ve seen, but they’ll also be stumbling into the future, like the year 2046, where we’ll be introduced to a much older Green Arrow, still played by Stephen Amell, who seems extremely close to the Frank Miller created one of the future.

“As an added bonus to comic-book fans,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim has said, “Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal [Frank Miller comic] The Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”

So, we’ll be seeing a one armed Green Arrow in the future, but turns out he won’t be alone as he’ll also have a new ally in the form of Connor Hawke, the sun of Oliver Queen who later takes on the Green Arrow mantle.

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW airs Thursdays on The CW.
