ZOMBIELAND 2 was always thought of a distant thought, despite how brilliant the first one was. We’re getting a sequel and no it doesn’t have anything to do with that short lived Amazon Prime series by the same name.

Not only is it coming, it’s also being written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote DEADPOOL which was a huge hit this year.

“That is breaking news that we’re on Zombieland 2 right now. We’re sitting with Woody [Harrelson] tomorrow and are going to sort of walk him through some of the stuff we want to do. All the cast is pretty excited.”

The pair showed up on Geeking Out to discuss the sequel and it looks like it’s moving forward pretty quick, especially since it’s felt like it hasn’t gone anywhere since 2009 when the original released.

ZOMBIELAND 2 currently doesn’t have a date set, nor does it have any cast attached right now.
