Nick Fury & S.H.I.E.L.D. Could Return To The MCU According To Samuel L. Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson appeared as Nick Fury, kick starting the mark of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the post-credits IRON MAN scene. Since then we’ve had numerous films with Jackson in as Nick Fury, his most recent being AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.

The question is, will and if so when will Nick Fury return, and also will we ever see the return of S.H.I.E.L.D into the MCU. Well, Jackson believed so:

“Yeah! For sure, definitely. Why wouldn’t there be? There’s some way of fixing what they created, and hopefully somebody has that going on or Nick Fury is out there — wherever he is, probably hanging out with Jules and walking the world — figuring out what happened and how it got to that particular place. Maybe they’ll find out that all that was part of a ruse to get to something else also. That would be great. They’ll bring me back somehow, some way, for some reason. I mean, they didn’t have me around to referee the kids when they didn’t go to their rooms and got in this big old fight. We’ll see what happens.”

Jackson was missing from the most recent CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR film, but the actor seems definitely up for a return to the role in future. We know that Marvel are planning a new line of characters what with contracts ending and giving some of the other characters and actors a break. Could Jackson be one of them, or will he be sticking around as a fixed point to keep the AVENGERS going?
