SCARFACE is getting a remake with Antoine Fuqua set to direct, but the script is being tackled by none other than Terrance Winter, who has quite the background in gangster writing.

Winter wrote the script for Martin Scorsese’s WOLF OF WALL STREET, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio, but he also created BOARDWALK EMPIRE, writing a lot of the stories for that series, plus wrote for THE SOPRANOS as well, the series which pretty much kicked off all the TV we have today.

It’s safe to say the script is in safe hands with Winter’s then for the SCARFACE remake. He’ll be polishing up the existing script from Jonathan Herman, who wrote STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, so it’ll be interesting how this SCARFACE remake is going.
