Peter Capaldi To Leave DOCTOR WHO

Peter Capaldi has announced that he will leave DOCTOR WHO at the end of the year.

The departure will coincide with executive producer Steven Moffat’s exit with the Christmas special being the final date for them both. Chris Chibnall will be taking over the running of the show but, as tradition, we don’t know who will take the mantle of the Doctor. The quality of the series has taken a downturn over the past fea years, which isn’t a testament to how good Capaldi has been in the role.

Naturally, speculation will begin on where Chibnall and co will go in 201 with the series. Many fans have called for a female doctor for many years, could this be a possible avenue? We’ll have to wait and likely won’t find out until the Christmas episode. Capaldi’s last season on DOCTOR WHO returns on April 15th with new companion Pearl Mackie.
