Joe Carnahan Departs BAD BOYS FOR LIFE

Joe Carnahan’s name has been in the news frequently lately for the good reasons, however today he’s in it for a bad one since he’s departed the burgeoning BAD BOYS FOR LIFE film.

The proposed third film for Will Smith and Martin Lawrence had Carnahan slated to direct but he’s left despite reworking the latest script and seemingly on track to begin shooting later this year, ahead of a 2018 release. It’s unknown where this leaves the film but we imagine that all involved are still keen to get it going since it’s taken a while to get Smith and Lawrence locked-in.

Carnahan, as previously mentioned, has plenty to keep him occupied. He’s working a different take of THE RAID with Frank Grillo and is penning the script for an X-FORCE film.
